Mahindra Thar CRDe - One of its kind

Saturday, November 20, 2010

Overview of Mahindra Thar

Mahindra India has launched the Thar in India. It was already avialble in Europe and South Africa from last 2 years. The Thar has captured the imagination of off-roading enthusiasts in India. Its looks and features have gone down well with the general public. Mahindra showcased the Thar at the 2010 Auto Expo in New Delhi.

Design & Features of Mahindra Thar

On the outside, the Indian 4x4 keeps its masculine, square jaw signature look, which has been a favorite among its owners. The Jeep-like round headlights and its signature style slotted grille make for a bold statement at the front. According to the company, the Thar has an approach angle of 46 degree and a departure angle of 30 degree with 200mm (7 inches) ground clearance, so it clearly means business when it comes to off-roading. But this is no stripped-out spartan vehicle, as it comes as standard with luxury features like air-conditioning(CRDe variant 4X4), power steering, independent front suspension, as well as stabilizer bars that guarantee limitless off-roading.

No doubt about THAR's Power & looks but interiors are of poor quality fitted with cheap plastic dump which makes it go down.
