Honda is one of the leading automobile manufacturers of world and has a lot of big names in their stable that made a lot of impact at world's stage and got praise and success. The Japanese automobile company is steadily making its progress in Indian market also. Recently, they showcased their Brio-based mini-MPV given the name, Mobilio at 2013 Indonesia International Motor Show in Jakarta which will make its entry in Indian market by 2014. It is a seven-seater MPV based on the platform of Brio, actually can be called as third generation Brio.

The exterior of Honda Mobilio gives a certain similar look with Brio but not altogether same. It also has some new stylish features added to make this unique and comfortable as well. It includes impressive and sharp cat eye shaped headlights with integrated clear lens indicators, stylish bonnet, a large front grille with a prominent chrome bar running along the center, nose with an aggressive company's logo, sporty bumper with newer faux air dam at bottom surrounded by a pair of round fog lamps, electrically adjustable body colored ORVMs with integrated side indicators, a floating D-pillar that hovers over the shoulder line, 15-inch alloy wheels that gel well with the aggressive flared arches, body colored door handles, kink in the beltline, a curved tailgate with an angular recess for the license plate in the center, tail lights been integrated into both the rear panel and the tailgate and rear windshield with a wiper, washer and defogger. It has a length of 4400mm and a height of 1605mm as its dimension and has a large wheelbase of 2650mm for a stable ride. It has a good ground clearance of 185mm for a bump-free ride and a fuel tank capacity of 35 litres which gives you a great range.

The interior of Honda Mobilio also gives a beautiful, comfortable and unique look and consists of a quality 2-DIN music system with CD, MP3, USB, iPod, AUX-in, Bluetooth and speakers, power windows, steering with tilt adjustment and audio controls, a spacious dashboard with storage spaces and AC vents, a powerful AC with manual controls and twin blowers for rear seats, dual interior lamps and many other exciting features which are not yet revealed.

Honda Mobilio will be available in both petrol and diesel engines in India. The 1497cc, 1.5L, 4-cylinder, i-VTEC petrol engine has a maximum power of 116 bhp at 6600 rpm and a maximum torque of 146 Nm at 4800 rpm and would be available in both five speed manual and automatic transmission. The 1498cc, 1.5L, 4-cylinder, i-DTEC, DOHC based diesel engine has a maximum power of 98.6 bhp at 3600 rpm and a maximum torque of 200 Nm at 1750 rpm and has a five speed manual transmission.

Honda Mobilio has disk brakes at front and drum brakes at rear. The suspension system is a MacPherson Strut type at front and Torsion Beam type at rear. For the safety, keyless entry, engine immobiliser, dual front Airbags, ABS with EBD and many other features which will soon come to light.

Honda Mobilio is expected to be available in five variants in India which includes S (MT) Petrol, E (MT) Petrol, E (CVT) Petrol, S (MT) Diesel and E (MT) Diesel. The shades are not yet revealed. Overall, Honda Mobilio seems like a power pack of performance, style, comfort, space, luxury, technology and price. It is expected to be launched in India at 2014 Delhi Auto Expo and will compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Chevrolet Enjoy and DATSUN GO+.
