Yamaha Launches 'Ray' in India

Yamaha launches Ray in India. With the launch of Ray, Yamaha has entered automatic scooter segment. The Ray was unveiled at the Auto Expo and actress Deepika Padukone would be the brand ambassador for the new scoot. The Ray will target young girls. The bookings for Ray have started since some time now. It is powered by a 113cc engine that makes 7.1PS at 7500rpm and 8.1Nm of torque. This is a very light scooter with 104 kg weight and will be available in six colours, pink, black, blue, burgundy and purple and grey. Yamaha is targeting an overall market share of 20% from the scooter segment by 2016.
