Yamaha Motor has announced an expansion plan for their dealership network in India. The expansion plan had focused primarily at the smaller towns comprises of an addition of 50 dealerships in the next two months. The launch of the gearless Ray scooter is central to the expansion strategy. The company is getting aggressive and plans to take the dealership count up to an optimistic 2000. Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd., said that our aim is to capture mass market of scooters and we are aiming to sell 4 lakh vehicles in the first year. Keeping in mind the increasing demand in two wheelers, we are planning to expand our dealership network extensively.
