2013 Suzuki Hayabusa Gets ABS and Brembo Brakes

The Peregrine Falcon is the latest crop of bikes to get ABS as a major safety feature in the braking system, coming ahead of the 2013 European Union norm which mandates every motorcycle above a cubic capacity of 125cc to feature ABS as standard. Apart from the addition of ABS, the other mechanical change on the 2013 Hayabusa is the addition of Brembo Monobloc front brake calipers to make breaking more effective than before. These changes apart, the Hayabusa gets a cosmetic facelift in the form of new fairing, but that pretty much is it, if you discount the paint jobs that look new. The addition of the ABS has increased the Hayabusa weight increasing by 15 pounds and that’s a minor sacrifice to make considering the huge safety advantage that ABS brings to the table. The Hayabusa now weighs 256 Kg, up from its previous weight of 250 kg.
