Piaggio to Launch Fly 125 in November

A few months back, Piaggio installed a scooter manufacturing capacity of 15000units/month and then, launched the all new retro look Vespa at INR 66,000 (ex-showroom). Reports have cropped up that the Italian scooter maker is planning to bring the Fly 125 to the Indian market. The scooter could be launched as soon as in Diwali season this year and should come with a price tag of about INR 50,000.

Piaggio Fly 125, which is already doing duty in international markets, is a lightweight and compact scooter with a 10.5 bhp 124cc single cylinder 2-valve engine. The motor is mated to a CVT transmission. It has good fuel efficiency. The Piaggio Fly 125 is equipped with the set of telescopic hydraulic shock absorber upfront and twin hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear with preload adjuster. The scooter, Fly 125, rides on 12 inch wheels with tubeless tyres. Anchoring duties are courtesy a 200 mm disc drum brake for front and 140mm for rear.
