Piaggio India to Launch Vespa Elegante in September

The Italian manufacturer, Piaggio has made its wide appearance in the Indian market in two wheeler segment. The Piaggio's Vespa series scooters like Vespa LX 125, Vespa VX 125 is receiving very good response from the customers and now, the company is all set to launch its another scooter named,'Piaggio Vespa Elegante'. It is expected to reach the dealers in  September. Vespa Elegante is said to be based on VX 125 platform.

The new 'Piaggio Elegante' has inherit some outer features from the popular scooter, 'Vespa Primavera' like round head light, tubeless tyres, smart triangular front grille, front disc brake but with more improved design. While talking about its seats, it has retro styled split seats which not only enhance the outer beauty of the scooter but also provides the comfort ride. One of the most interesting addition by the company in Vespa Elegante is its two new shades such as Pearl White and Marrakech Brown.

Mechanically, the Elegante will host a 125cc 4-stroke petrol engine under the hood which is expected to produce a peak power of 10PS and peak torque of 10.06NM. It is the same unit of engine that also perform its duty in other Piaggio scooters. Braking power of the the tubeless tyres will be provide by disc brakes at front and drum brakes at rear end. Apart from the above mentioned two colors, it will also available in other trendy body colors.

The price of Elegante is expected to be around Rs. 79000 approximately. Apart from this trendy scooter, the Piaggio has also launched an Esclusivo version of Vespa VX with some Aesthetic tweaks on it.
