Mahindra Launches Verito Vibe
Mahindra has launched the sub-four-meter version of its Verito saloon, the Verito Vibe. At first, it was believed to be a hatchback but the Vibe is actually a compact saloon with the boot jointed at the bottom of the rear windscreen. The Verito Vibe comes with the 64bhp same as Renault K9K 1.5-liter diesel engine that powers the Verito Vibe saloon. Mahindra will not offer a petrol engine option as it does not have one small enough to avail the tax benefits. In terms of styles, the rear windscreen of the car is sharply raked and is positioned by large tail-lights that sit on the C-pillar.
The space is great for a small car and interiors are also carried over. Mahindra has offers the Vibe in three versions – the D2, D4 and D6. The top-end D6 gets equipment like driver airbag, ABS, 2 DIN music system with MP3 player, CD, aux in and USB, a rear defogger and alloy wheels. The Bluetooth connectivity is missing. The Verito Vibe competes with the likes of Toyota Etios Liva and Chevrolet Sail U-VA.
