Honda Planning to Launch the Activa 125 by the End of April

At the Auto Expo held in February 2014, Honda showcased its new creation 'Honda Activa 125' in the Activa line up. Now, company is planning to launch it by the end of this month. Booking of this new Activa has already begun with the booking amount of Rs. 5000. It is avaialble in four attractive color options including Black, Silver, White and Blue.

The Activa 125 would launch with two variants: Disc brake and Drum brake. It also differs in price as disc brake Activa will cost for Rs. 63000 and drum brake Activa will cost for Rs. 56000. While the price of Activa 125 is Rs.6000 more than the  110cc  Activa, it is still expected to sell in good numbers. Talking about the features, Activa 125 has a single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled 124.9cc engine which churn out the maximum power of 8.6bhp at 6500rpm. Torque generated by this variant is 10.12Nm at 5500rpm.

The disc brake version of Activa uses a 190mm front disc and 130mm drum for the rear. While drum brake variant uses 130mm drums for the front and rear. Talking about the features, Activa 125 includes well sculpted metallic body which gives it a stunning looks, sharp tail light, comfortable seat, black rear view mirrors, passenger footrest, maintainence free battery, alloy wheels, clear lens indicators and a bright LED headlight. It seems that wonderful offerings and features of Activa 125 will definitely beat the sale of  Suzuki Access 125 which is powered by a 4stroke, single cylinder, air cooled OHC engine which generates the maximum power of 8.58bhp at 7000rpm and a peak torque of  9.8Nm at 5000rpm. It uses 120mm drums for the front and rear. It is also available in five color options like Red, Grey, White, Black and Metallic Grey.

As Suzuki Access 125 also offers similar features of Activa 125 except the disc brake variant, lets see who will get better response in the market.
