2014 Hero Super Splendor Launched at Rs. 51,250

Hero MotoCorp has launched the face lifted model of commuter bike 'Super Splendor' for the Indian market. Before this bike, Hero MotoCorp has also launched the refreshed version of Karizma R and ZMR in March 2014. The revision of the bike is done with the intentions of giving it a fresh look and make it compatible to other bikes of this segment. It features a range of aesthetic tweaks. The new model is now available in Indian market for Rs. 51,250 (approx., may vary).

Talking about its dimension, the 2014 Hero Super Splendor has a length of 1995mm, width of 735mm and a height of 1095mm which is quite similar to its previous model. The main changes made on this updated version are  new body graphics which now looks more stylish, new instrument panel which shows side stand indicator now and a refreshed alloy wheels in Black color.

Refreshed Splendor boasts a 124.7cc single cylinder, air-cooled OHC engine which generates the maximum power of 9.12PS at 7000 rpm and maximum torque of 10.35Nm at 4000 rpm. This is the same unit of engine which also does its duty in the previous model. The engine is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission  and it gives a top speed of 90kmph with a city mileage of 65.00 kmpl and highway mileage of 75 kmpl. Suspension duties of the bike are handled by telescopic hydraulic shocks at the front and adjustable shock absorbers at the front.

The 2014 Super Splendor, now comes with the six color options to choose. There is no disc brakes offered in this bike, braking system is comprises of similar 130mm drum brakes at the rear and front tyres. So, the new splendor has only cosmetic changes with the very useful instrument panel change which is now able to warn you about the side stand. We hope, Hero MotoCorp will soon give more real updates to Splendor.
