Hero Company was established by the four Munjal brothers namely, Satyanand Munjal, Om Prakash Munjal, Late Dayanand Munjal and Late Raman Kant Munjal. The world’s largest two wheeler maker by volumes Hero MotoCorp showcased the three new products early in this year, just before the 2012 Indian Auto Expo, in the form of the Hero Ignitor 125, the Maestro 110cc scooter and the Passion xPro 110cc commuter motorcycle in the two wheeler segment. The Hero Ignitor and the Maestro have already been launched in India market. The big volumes puller and the 2012 Hero MotoCorp Passion xPro commuter motorcycle is yet to see the light of the day. The launch of the Hero Passion xPro 110 is just weeks away given that Hero MotoCorp has already begun producing this motorcycle in the Indian market. Over the last few months, Hero MotoCorp’s sales have been slipping on the back of decreasing demand for entry level commuter motorcycles in India. So, this two wheeler major will be betting on the Passion xPro to bring in the big volumes in bike’s industry. The Passion xPro will sit above the existing Splendor and Passion motorcycles, as a more powerful motorcycle as it comes with a 110cc four stroke engine. The Passion X-Pro will be Hero MotoCorp’s answer to the likes of the Honda’s bike Honda Dream Yuga, the Suzuki Hayate 110 and TVS Star City commuter motorcycles. The Passion xPro will get a disc brake on the front wheel. Also, alloy wheels will be standard on the top end variants of the Hero’s Passion xPro.
