Yamaha Authentic Kit Launched in Japan: Yamaha has exclusively prepared some of the best-looking variants for Japan from time to time. The same can be seen on these three motorcycles, all of them carrying exclusive livery for the Japanese market. Y’s Gear, Yamaha’s very own accessory partner, has equipped the MT-09, SCR950 and SR400 with Authentic Kits that help them achieve visual similarities to the models sold in 1980’s. Yamaha MT-09 wears the most expensive accessory package out of all. The almost INR 75,000 worth kit brings a new front fender, fuel tank, headlight panels, side covers and tail cover. All of them follow the same White/Red theme on their body panels. [caption id="attachment_163858" align="aligncenter" width="640"]Yamaha Authentic Kit SR400 with Yamaha Authentic Kit[/caption] INR 5,000 worth Authentic Kit for SR400 also bring the same changes, with additional tail panel for the bike. Well, even if they look beautiful, the limited availability turns everyone’s mood off around the globe. Yamaha MT-09 is the only model out of these three that is presently on sale in India. The 847cc, three cylinder engine on the motorcycle is good for 115 PS at 10000 rpm and 87.5 Nm at 8500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Yamaha has silently introduced the 2018 variant in India for INR 10,88,122. It was first on sale for INR 11.36 lakh and that too with the older design. 2018 Yamaha MT-09 comes as a CBU and thus, gets higher priced than similar products like Triumph Street Triple S and Kawasaki Z900.
