Upcoming Facelifts: Skoda Kushaq and Slavia to Get New Features and ADAS

Skoda and Volkswagen are planning to introduce facelifts for the Kushaq and Slavia models, respectively, as part of their India 2.5 strategy. In order to remain competitive in the Indian market, a number of new features and enhancements are expected to follow these facelifts. To further stimulate interest in the market the businesses also want to introduce limited-edition versions of these models ahead of the facelifts. These versions may come with new trim levels or absent features.

Skoda and Volkswagen's Competitive Strategy

Under the India 2.0 plan, the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) portfolio is one of the main features that is currently absent from the Skoda and Volkswagen vehicle lineup. VW and Skoda are dedicated to enhancing their products in response to consumer input even in the absence of ADAS. By keeping their cars competitive in terms of price and package, the automakers hope to guarantee that any feature enhancements would be positively welcomed by consumers.

Plans for Feature Additions

In addition to ADAS, another missing feature in the current lineup is the 360-degree camera. Skoda and Volkswagen may introduce this feature with the facelifts, along with new design elements for the ORVMs and bumpers to accommodate the necessary cameras. While the companies are focusing on adding these features, they are also mindful of keeping any price increments competitive and acceptable to customers.

Segment Competitors

The Skoda Slavia competes with sedans like the Honda City and Hyundai Verna, while the Skoda Kushaq rivals compact SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Despite the competition, Skoda and Volkswagen are confident in their powertrain options, which are likely to remain unchanged. In general, it is expected that the upcoming facelifts and special editions will increase the attraction of Volkswagen and Skoda automobiles in the Indian market.

Skoda and Volkswagen's dedication to maintaining their competitiveness in the Indian market is seen in their focus on augmenting their product offers with novel features and adjustments. A bright future for the Indian automotive sector will be expected with the launch of facelifts and limited editions for the Kushaq and Slavia models which are predicted to draw in more business and strengthen their market share.
