Upgrades like wireless charging, auto-folding outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), dual-tone seat coverings, and a tire pressure monitoring system are all included in this premium variant. Externally, the Leader Edition distinguishes itself with new black alloy wheels and is available in three dual-tone color options: Super White, Platinum Pearl White, and Silver Metallic, all accented with contrasting black features. Additional distinctive touches include new front and rear bumper spoilers, which are part of Toyota’s official accessories range and installed by dealers.

Powertrain Specifications

The Fortuner Leader Edition retains the powerful 2.8-litre diesel engine from the regular lineup, available only in a 4x2 configuration. With a 6-speed automated gearbox, this engine produces 500 Nm of torque and 204 horsepower; with a manual gearbox, the output is 500 Nm of torque and 420 horsepower.

Competition

The Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition continues to compete with rivals such as the MG Gloster. Additionally, it will soon face competition from the reintroduced Ford Endeavour, likely to be rebranded as the Everest for its latest iteration in the Indian market. With its unique style and improved features Toyota hopes to strengthen its position in the luxury SUV market with the release of the Fortuner.
