Suzuki Swift Classic 69 Edition Unveiled: Fully Analogue

Suzuki has unveiled an exciting range of models at the ongoing Bangkok International Motor Show 2024, including the Swift Classic 69 Edition. This special edition features a retro-styled, racing-inspired design that sets it apart. Interestingly, the Swift Classic 69 was also showcased at BIMS 2020 but with a completely different look, colors, and features.

Key Features of the Swift Classic 69 Edition

One of the most eye-catching features of the Swift Classic 69 Edition is its light green exterior, which is beautifully contrasted by blacked-out elements. The black finish is seen on the grille, bumper, fog lamp housings, side moldings, pillars, ORVMs, roof, diffuser, and rear bumper.

To further enhance its sleek appearance the hatchback has thick black body cladding. The headlamps maintain the same shape as the current-gen model but feature halogen bulbs and traditional chrome reflectors. The Suzuki logo is highlighted with a chrome finish.

The most striking feature of the Swift Classic 69 Edition is the dual racing stripes on the bonnet featuring the number 69. These racing stripes continue onto the tailgate, while the sides feature black decals with '69 Classic' badging.

In terms of wheels, the Swift Classic 69 Edition comes with conventional steel wheels instead of alloy wheels, enhancing its retro profile. At the rear, the dual polygonal faux exhausts make a strong visual impact, while the tail lamps retain the same design as the current model sold in Thailand.

In contrast to the trend of digital screens, the interiors of the Swift Classic 69 Edition feature analog dials and physical buttons, exuding a sense of confidence. The dashboard and doors are accented with light green accents matching the exterior color. The upholstery is done in a classic quilted pattern in leatherette, providing a luxurious look and feel. The beige leatherette garnish on the doors further enhances the visual appeal.

Performance and Specifications

The Swift Classic 69 Edition is based on the current model sold in Thailand and other Asian markets and does not receive any performance enhancements. It is equipped with the K12M engine, delivering 83 PS of maximum power and 108 Nm of peak torque, with a rated fuel efficiency of 23 km/L. The Swift utilizes the Heartect platform which is lightweight yet rigid, enhancing performance and fuel efficiency.
