Royal Enfield Himalayan is currently the talk of the town for a wrong reason. An owner named M. Puneeth filed a case against the company for selling him a defective machine with around 40 manufacturing defects. The court has even announced a decision in his favor. Being an engineer, Puneeth felt that their was something wrong in the motorcycle from the first day of his purchase and went on to file a case once he was unable to control his regret for buying the Himalayan. The time he bought the motorcycle, he found 8-10 defects that included petrol leakage from carburetor and tank, noisy engine, gear shift issues and engine oil leak. The first week report added hard gear shifts and even few breakdowns on the road. He bought the same from Jagdamba Automobiles and explained his experience as the worst one for buying a motorcycle. Officials have even put up a notice in all RE dealerships to inspect every Himalayan that comes in for service. RE-Himalayan-6 Royal Enfield Himalayan has been updated on the official website with fuel injection. The motorcycle uses a 411 cc, single cylinder engine producing 24.5 PS and 32 Nm of torque. It could have been a game changer for the manufacturer if no problem would have surfaced from its built quality. The bike was made for adventure lovers but has disappointed many in terms. Ankit Soni was at the dealership to buy his dream bike and the one which he was about to receive was leaking fuel before the delivery. The problems ranging from blocked fuel pipe, fuel tank chipping, gearbox failures, rusting, dis-assembly of front forks and even the bike pulling to one side has been faced by many riders. The crack in one of the chassis of the Himalayan was even the most doubtful thing among other shocking problems. They want the guys at every dealership to replace the clutch, inspect and replace (if required) T-stem, replace magneto coil, check for valve rubbing noise and replace if required, check tyre crack complaints and listen to the customer feedback attentively.
