As per the latest details available, the OnePlus Nord smartphone will be officially launched on July 21 in the world’s first AR smartphone launch event. Amazon India will start accepting pre-orders for the upcoming smartphone from 15 July 2020 with a token amount of INR 499. The customers pre-booking the smartphone would be receiving a surprise gift box containing limited-edition OnePlus merchandise. The customers who would be completing the purchase by August 31, 2020, would also receive another gift box containing OnePlus Bullets Wireless V1 and a phone cover.
In terms of display, the smartphone is expected to get a flat display with a noticeable chin at its bottom in addition to getting a curved rear glass panel. It is also being rumoured that the OnePlus Nord will come equipped with the alert slider and power button to its right with volume buttons on its left side. It will get USB Type-C connectivity and a bottom-ported speaker grille.
For optics, the smartphone will get a triple rear camera setup that will be housed in a rectangular module which will have a little bump. The smartphone is also expected to come equipped with laser autofocus along with the time-of-flight (TOF) sensor. The primary camera is rumoured to feature the 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor. The OnePlus Nord smartphone would be the affordable variant of the OnePlus 8 series and it would be exciting to see what features would the brand offer in its upcoming smartphone.
