Maruti Suzuki to Launch Baleno RS in India in February

Maruti Suzuki Baleno was a hit from the very first day of its launch, making it the best car among premium hatchback lovers of India. Maruti is now preparing hard to bring the Baleno RS into India, which has been on sale in some countries from the first day of the car's production. As per the latest details available, Baleno RS will be launched in India in February 2017. Even after being a made in India product, the car was in questionable state due to the lack of turbocharged petrol engines and their feasibility in the Indian automotive sector.

Baleno RS is powered by a 1.0 liter, 3-cylinder Boosterjet turbo petrol engine, producing 110 HP of maximum power and 170 Nm of torque. The car can even carry a 5-speed manual or an optional 6-speed automatic gearbox from the international model. It will be built into the same frame and would carry the same dimensions as the standard Baleno. However, number of features will vary as the Baleno RS could carry disc brakes on the rear wheels also. It will be most possible available in the top spec Alpha trim. Maruti will provide a body kit for the clear differentiation between both the models. It will carry bi-xenon automatic headlamps, smartplay infotainment system, reverse camera, electrically folding wing mirrors, rain sensing wipers and much more technology than the regular variants. Baleno RS will be sold alongside the regular Baleno at NEXA dealerships. The car may get itself an all new Electric Blue shade for the Indian market while available popular shades of Red, Dark Blue and Gray can even suit the sporty profile.
