Interior of Volkswagen Tayron Bound for India Leaked

The larger sibling of the most recent Tiguan, the seven-seater SUV Volkswagen Tayron is scheduled to arrive in India in 2025. A preview of the Tayron's interior is provided by recent spy photos taken in China. They show a layout similar to the Tiguan's but with a number of significant improvements suggesting a smart and feature-rich cabin.

Interior Design

The interior of the Tayron features a beautiful and simple dashboard dominated by three screens: the main infotainment system, the digital instrument cluster, and a passenger-side display. The infotainment system includes a backlit slider controller, similar to the Tiguan, and all screens are expected to run VW's latest MIB4 digital interface. New-look AC vents, a wireless charging pad, a rotary drive selector dial, audio controls, and spacious storage areas enhance the cabin's functionality and aesthetics.

Cabin Comfort and Features

Premium materials, such as soft-touch surfaces, sports seats, and contrast stitching with blue piping, combine to create a cabin that displays a combination of luxury and sportiness in the Volkswagen Tayron. While the spy shots do not reveal the specifics of the seven-seater layout, it is expected that the Tayron will offer ample space in the second and third rows, continuing the Tiguan's reputation for spaciousness and comfort.

All powertrains will come equipped with a 48V mild-hybrid system and offer both 4WD and 2WD configurations. Volkswagen will also offer two plug-in hybrid variants with an electric-only range of over 100km, featuring a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with an electric motor and a 19.7kWh battery pack.
