Technical Specifications and Battery Production

While specific details about the Creta EV’s technical specifications are still under wraps, it is expected to offer multiple motor and battery configurations, potentially providing a range exceeding 400 kilometers. Hyundai and Kia's collaboration with Exide to produce locally manufactured batteries could result in the Creta EV being equipped with domestically produced battery packs, making it more cost-effective.

Pricing and Market Position

Projected to start at around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom), the Hyundai Creta EV will compete against the likes of the MG ZS EV, as well as the upcoming Tata Curvv EV and Maruti Suzuki eVX, positioning it as a competitive option in India's burgeoning electric vehicle market.
