Positioned as a new variant within the Sportz trim level, it incorporates trendy features sought after by buyers in this segment. The introduction of this variant aims to further elevate the appeal of the Hyundai i20 facelift which debuted last year.
Features and Pricing
The Hyundai i20 Sportz (O) variant sits above the Sportz trim and below the Asta trims in terms of positioning. The Sportz (O) variant's price for the single-tone paint option is Rs. 8.73 lakh (ex-showroom). Opting for the dual-tone paint scheme incurs an additional cost of Rs. 15,000, bringing the price to Rs. 8.88 lakh (ex-showroom).
Compared to the Sportz variants, the Sportz (O) commands a premium of Rs. 35,000 (ex-showroom). This price difference is justified by the additional equipment included in the Sportz (O) variant. These additions include an electrically operated single-pane sunroof and a wireless charging pad with active cooling.
Furthermore, Hyundai has introduced padded armrests on the doors of the Sportz (O) variant, replacing the hard plastics found on the Sportz trim. Wrapped in leatherette material, these padded armrests represent a significant upgrade and enhance the cabin experience of the Hyundai i20 Sportz (O).
Powertrain and Features
The Hyundai i20 continues to be powered by the same 1.2-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine, known for its smooth and refined performance. This engine generates 82 bhp of peak power and 115 Nm of peak torque. The powertrain options include a 5-speed manual transmission and an iVT (continuously variable transmission) gearbox.
A huge 10.2-inch touchscreen entertainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear AC vents, a digital instrument cluster, LED headlights, and plenty of room for rear occupants are just a few of the features that set the i20 apart from other cars. Its interiors are also well-designed. Additionally, the Hyundai i20 N Line, equipped with a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine, offers a sportier driving experience.
