2018 Pulsar RS200 or Bajaj Testing Pulsar RS400? - Bajaj Auto is known for continuous improvements in their bikes and Pulsar RS200 seems to be the next big thing under this scanner. An image of Pulsar RS200, that is camouflaged and carries red alloy wheels, was circulated recently in the automotive industry by RushLane. Most experts are hinting at an updated 2018 Pulsar RS200 while some are of the belief that it could be the all new RS400 for India. Both statements hold true to some extent as RS200 is selling in limited numbers and Bajaj would try their best to make it more attractive than ever for every market. When CS400 was christened Dominar 400, those hearts were left broken and hope could only be felt from SS400 (concept name for RS400). Bajaj has offered the Blue alloy wheel with present generation RS200 and bringing Red won't be tough for them in any way. But still, hopes are high in the industry for the flagship Pulsar. RS400 would be a direct rival to recently launched TVS Apache RR 310. It is expected to share parts with Bajaj Dominar but would offer more sport appeal on all terms. [caption id="attachment_6695" align="aligncenter" width="656"]Bajaj Testing Pulsar RS400 Bajaj Pulsar SS400/RS400 Prototype Model[/caption] Bajaj Pulsar RS400 will share the same 373.2 cc engine as Dominar 400 but most probably, the Pulsar moniker will demand more horsepower at all cost. Expecting a 40+ HP output would be totally justified. Presently sold Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is powered by a 199.5cc, single cylinder engine producing 24.2 BHP and 18.6 Nm of torque. It comes with a standard 6-speed manual gearbox. RS400 will further add slipper clutch, dual channel ABS and wider tyres to the package. Things are more in favor of bigger RS as RS200 will not need camouflaged road testing for just new shade launch. Spy Image Source: RushLane
