DSK Benelli 302R Launched @ INR 3.48 Lakh

The wait is over! Benelli 302R has been officially launched in India at INR 3.48 lakh (ex-showroom pan India). Benelli officially started accepting the bookings a few weeks back with a token amount of INR 25,000. Benelli 302R comes equipped with dual-channel ABS, making it the first sport bike from 2-cylinder category to bring the safety feature as standard in India. This seems pretty impressive as Yamaha R3 is presently discontinued and Kawasaki Ninja 300 is not even offered with optional ABS. This makes Benelli 302R exclusive in its own way.

Benelli 302R is powered by a twin cylinder, 300cc engine that produces 38.26 BHP at 11500 rpm and 26.5 Nm at 10000 rpm. The same engine is employed in Benelli TNT 300. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and helps claim a top speed of 170 kmph in everyday riding conditions. Benelli 302R comes with a seat height of 780 mm, providing it with the most easily accessible seats in its segment. The wet weight is quite high at 198 kg when compared to the rival Kawasaki Ninja 300 at just 172 kg. This will definitely affect its performance on track riding days. As Benelli 302R has entered India through CKD route, the part sharing equation with the TNT 300 made it easier for Benelli to get a perfect placement for the full faired sport bike.
