2024 Triumph Tiger 900 GT and Rally Pro Now Available in India

Triumph India has recently unveiled the 2024 Tiger 900 range, featuring two models tailored for distinct riding preferences: the Tiger 900 GT and the Tiger 900 Rally Pro. These models are available for Rs 13,95,000 for the GT and Rs 15,95,000 for the Rally Pro, respectively (both prices are ex-showroom).

Color Options and Aesthetic Appeal

The Tiger 900 GT is introduced with three fresh color schemes: Graphite/Sapphire Black, Snowdonia White/Sapphire Black, and Carnival Red/Sapphire Black. In contrast, the Rally Pro version is offered in Carbon Black/Sapphire Black, Ash Grey/Intense Orange, and Matt Khaki Green/Matt Phantom Black, enhancing its visual appeal.

Performance and Engineering

?The heart of both models is a newly enhanced 888cc, liquid-cooled, 12-valve, DOHC inline 3-cylinder engine, delivering 108PS at 9500rpm and 90Nm at 6850rpm. This marks an increase of 12.8PS and 3Nm over its predecessor. Both variants are equipped with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a slip-and-assist clutch. Notably, the Rally Pro model includes a standard quick shifter.

Suspension and Handling

?The GT model is designed with a road-oriented focus, featuring a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheel configuration. It is fitted with adjustable Marzocchi 45mm upside-down forks and a monoshock, offering 180mm and 170mm of travel, respectively. Conversely, the Rally Pro is built for rigorous off-road experiences, sporting a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheel setup, and equipped with Showa suspension components that provide 240mm and 230mm of travel.

Braking and Safety Features

Both models are configured with dual 320mm discs with Brembo Stylema 4-piston Monobloc calipers at the front, and a 255mm rear disc. They also feature cornering ABS and traction control for enhanced safety during rides.

Advanced Technological Features

?The Tiger 900 range boasts a 7-inch TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity that supports music control and turn-by-turn navigation. The GT variant offers four riding modes—Road, Rain, Sport, and Off-Road—while the Rally Pro adds two more with Rider Configurable and Off-Road Pro modes. Additionally, the Rally Pro comes standard with heated grips and seats, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), which are optional on the GT.

Ergonomics and Competition

?The GT version has an adjustable seat height ranging from 820mm to 840mm, making it suitable for road touring. In comparison, the Rally Pro's seat height can be adjusted from 860mm to 880mm supporting its off-road capability. The GT model competes with the Ducati Multistrada V2 while the Rally Pro is positioned against the Ducati DesertX and BMW F 850 GS Adventure, highlighting its readiness for both adventure paths and challenging terrains.
