Absolutely! Retro styled bikes are a big market. It’d sell like hotcakes if they could make it emissions compliant.

No way. Street use for two-strokes is dead. Maybe it would make sense as a track only bike but it wouldn’t be the same as the original RD350.

If they did it right, it could work. Use the styling, but with a modern four stroke engine of similar power characteristics.

They should do it! But make it electric. Picture an electric bike with the soul of the RD350; instant torque, lightweight and simple.

It could succeed, but it wouldn’t be a true RD350. That two stroke engine was the magic and you can't do that with modern tech.

Why not? Kawasaki brought back the Z900RS. I bet Yamaha would be popular if they did something similar with RD350 spirit.

It's just a myth. I had a ride one back in the day, and with respect, there was no more danger involved than with any other bike.

Definitely earned that nickname. For its time, the power delivery was insane and those drum brakes were sketchy at best.

It’s a bit dramatic to call it a widow maker. For their time it was fast, but so were a lot of bikes. The rider’s skill and judgment is all it’s about.

I'd call it a thrill maker more than a widow maker. It was fun to ride, sure, but it was powerful, and that made it fun to ride!

It’s probably exaggerated, but it’s true to some degree. Quick acceleration with mediocre brakes might fool some beginners.

It's not fair to call it such. The wrong hands can make any bike dangerous. Its reputation grew because the RD350 just happened to be popular and powerful.

I feel like it’s more how advanced it was for its time. Nothing else could come close to its performance back then, and it felt dangerous.

Forget performance mods. Try to make it comfortable – better seat, adjustable levers, perhaps a wind screen for longer rides.

The bike wakes up nicely with an ECU flash and full exhaust system. It makes it much more usable on the street.

Honestly, just leave it stock. The R6 is already a beast. Instead of putting your money towards track days, put it towards your safety equipment.

A tail tidy and frame sliders are must haves. Better looks, without messing with performance, and protection.
