Depends on the person. You can learn on an R6 if you’re mature and take it slow. Most people should probably start smaller, however.

No way. It’s just too aggressive for a new rider to be able to manage safely. Trying to tame it, you’ll develop bad habits.

I've seen people do it but they're the exception. It’s better for most to master the basics on something less intense.

Of the bunch, the R6 is the most track focused. Great if you want that raw feel, but other ones are more street friendly.

I have ridden all of them and the R6 feels the most special. It's not the easiest to live with, but it's the most rewarding.

The street ZX-6R has more low end torque. You need to rev the R6 out to really shine.

They're all pretty similar honestly. It's not very big a difference with the R6 being a bit more uncomfortable.

The CBR600RR is more balanced for street use. It's amazing, but you really don't need the R6 unless you're going to the track regularly.

It's easier to live with day to day. But the R6 is great, it’s just more of a weekend warrior bike.

Better brakes, hands down. Stopping was great, but the acceleration. Not so much. It would've been so much safer with disc brakes.

I'd add a sixth gear. On the highway, it always felt like it needed one more to really settle in.

Improve the electrics. There’s nothing worse than having to bump start it because the battery died... again.

Make it easier to work on. Tinkering was half the fun, but with some simple design tweaks maintenance could be a breeze.

I'd make it a bit heavier. It sounds crazy, but a little more weight would have made it more stable at high speeds.

Redesign the air filter box. It was a pain to clean and probably robbed some power.

Add an oil injection system. Fuel premixing was fun for about a week, then it became a chore.

You have to have fuel injection, but keep it carbed as an option for the purists. Maybe offer both versions?
