It's hit or miss. I've been in two Glanzas, and one of them was much quieter than the other. Perhaps the insulation is not consistent?

The Glanza is definitely much louder than my old i20. But it's not a deal-breaker. After a while, you get used to it.

I think people are too picky. This is not a BMW, it's an affordable hatchback. The noise levels, for what it is, are perfectly acceptable.

The noise is fine in the cabin but the problem is the wind noise at higher speeds. The door seals could have been done better.

The Baleno certainly is quieter than this. Either Toyota added some extra insulation or something.

The infotainment on the Glanza is pretty solid too. It's responsive, easy to use, and gets all the basics out of the way. It's not cutting edge by any stretch of the imagination, but it works without any fuss.

Honestly, I'm not impressed. Some competitors offer larger screens and also a more up to date look. Toyota should have done better.

It's a mixed bag. The built in navigation is a joke, but it works great with smartphones. Instead I just use Google Maps on my phone.

It's actually pretty good for the price point. It's never going to blow your mind, but it'll work and work well. In a daily driver, what more do you need?

I believe people are too hard on it. It’s not the fanciest thing out there, but it’s simple and doesn’t take your focus off the road. That's a plus in my book.

The real letdown is the sound quality from the speakers. The audio is fine, if you care about audio you'll want to upgrade the speakers, the infotainment itself is fine.

So it’s better than the Baleno’s system, at least. Toyota must have done something with it. It’s nice that the voice commands actually work most of the time.

In fact, this lack of features is a plus for me. I bought it for reliability, not gadgets, and there were fewer things to go wrong.

It definitely feels outdated. If I am paying 50 lakhs, I expect something more than reliability. It feels like it's a decade old infotainment system.

Toyota are playing it safe, sticking to what they do best – reliability. They are, however, risking losing younger buyers who expect more tech.

I test drove a Fortuner and Gloster back to back. Night and day difference in features. After that, couldn’t justify the price of the Fortuner.

The Fortuner doesn’t require gimmicks. Buyers of its SUV know what they are getting, a tough and reliable SUV. If you’re looking for a tech showcase, this isn’t it.

Toyota, I think, is banking too much on brand loyalty. If they want to attract new, younger buyers, they have to step it up.

Part of the appeal is the simplicity. Not everyone wants a car that has all the bells and whistles. Less is more, sometimes, and especially for long term reliability.
