Luxury Carnival, practicality Innova. The more luxuriously you want to be chauffeur driven, the more the Carnival. Innova is better for a family car.

I've driven them both and the Carnival definitely seems a far more upmarket coach. However, the Innova’s very simple was its siren song. It's built to last.

Rear seats on the Carnival are more comfortable for passengers. As a driver though I prefer the Innova’s handling.
But is the lack of modern features in the Innova Crysta a deal breaker in 2025?
31 December 2024 06:16
Not a deal-breaker at all. I would rather have a car that works than a car full of gadgets that will breakdown.
But is the lack of modern features in the Innova Crysta a deal breaker in 2025?

It's definitely an issue. Toyota should be giving you more modern features for the price they’re charging. It is outdated compared to rivals.

31 December 2024 06:16
The Innova lacks features that seem disappointing, but its comfort makes up for them. And I would still choose it over it being a feature packed, but way less comfortable alternative.
But is the lack of modern features in the Innova Crysta a deal breaker in 2025?

That depends on what you value. If you’re tech savvy, it’ll feel like you don’t have anything. However, for a family car, the basics are all that’s needed.
But is the lack of modern features in the Innova Crysta a deal breaker in 2025?

That is a big deal: the missing features. ADAS and a good infotainment system are no longer a luxury, but are safety features.

Honestly, I like the Innova’s simplicity best. And less things for that to go wrong with. Easier to use for the elderly members of your family who know nothing about tech.

That’s unnecessary for true Hilux fans. What is the appeal of the truck (truck)—simplicity and reliability, no high tech.

ADAS is overrated. Electronic nannies are important but so is good driving skills.

It depends on the use case. If you don’t need ADAS and are buying your truck for work or off-roading, basic models should suit you just fine. It’s a must have for daily drivers.

Is one of the things missing from the Hilux which may put off modern buyers its lack of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS)?
31 December 2024 06:10
It's a non-issue. When you remember that most Hilux buyers just want toughness and reliability, and not the latest tech features, it’s no surprise that painting an actual product for a virtual model simply is not a priority.
