Don’t forget resale value. Kicks depreciate faster than other crossovers and while the low initial price might seem attractive, the cost to keep up with maintenance becomes a lot more expensive. In the long run you will lose more.

It is cheap because it is built on an outdated platform and engine. The driving experience really shows that Nissan is cutting corners in order to keep costs down.

We don’t really know long term reliability yet because it’s too new. We’ll have a better picture of it, give it a few more years.

The Kicks is not so much a true SUV as it is a lifted hatchback. If you need real family space, look at the Rogue instead.

It's doable, but not ideal. Ours is a second car for short trips, but I wouldn’t want it as our only family car.

For the class, the cargo space is pretty generous. It fits our stroller and a week’s worth of groceries no problem.

It's all relative. The Kicks feels huge, coming from a compact sedan. However, if you are downsizing from a larger SUV, you will feel cramped.

If you’re just looking for basic transportation, the Kicks is unbeatable value. Not everyone has to, or wants to, pay for fancy features.

I'd rather spend a few grand more and get a Honda HR-V or Mazda CX 30. Better resale value and better driving dynamics.

It depends on what you value. The Kicks, if you don’t mind having the latest tech and safety features but don’t want to pay top dollar, is tough to beat.

The base model is good value but once you start adding options the price creeps up until it's in competition with other, better SUVs.
