That depends on how car design trends progress. If other brands do the same, it could stay fresh. Otherwise, it might look like some weird outlier.

It might age ok as overall shape, but I'm sure some of the details like the light bar will look dated very quickly.

I think it'll be a love it or hate it design that'll never really go out of style. It'll always have its fans.

This will probably look dated in a few years, but then come back into fashion in about 20 years as a retro futurist classic.

It is a pretty timeless basic shape. It's just a sleek box. I'm sure it will age better than people think.
Is the Hyundai Staria’s futuristic design a hit or a miss?

I absolutely love it! It's nice to see that minivan that doesn't look like a boring box on wheels. Looks like the Staria is driving straight out of a sci fi movie.
Is the Hyundai Staria’s futuristic design a hit or a miss?
03 January 2025 06:39
It's a miss for me. It is unique, but it also looks kinda goofy. For family vehicles, I like a more classic understated design.

I think it's brilliant. Hyundai is going out on a limb and pushing design forward. Sure it's not for everyone, but the auto industry needs more of this kind of innovation.
Is the Hyundai Staria’s futuristic design a hit or a miss?

It's cool front end, but the rest of it looks like a loaf of bread. It’s not trying too hard to be futuristic, it just looks awkward.

03 January 2025 06:39
It's growing on me. I thought it was too weird at first, but the more I see it, the more I like it. Definitely a conversation starter!
Is the Hyundai Staria’s futuristic design a hit or a miss?

I'm concerned with the practicality of that design. A nightmare for aerodynamics and fuel efficiency must be all those curves and that massive front end.
Is the Hyundai Staria’s futuristic design a hit or a miss?

In photos, it’s a hit, but in person, it’s a miss. The closest you get to the plastic looking grille area really cheapens the overall appearance.
Is the Stargazer's unique design a hit to resale value worth?
02 January 2025 12:25
Absolutely worth it! Investments they are, but the cars are more than that. The trade off to something unique every day is in your driving pleasure, and that's worth it for my needs.
Is the Stargazer's unique design a hit to resale value worth?
02 January 2025 12:25
No way. Family cars need to have resale value. I'd rather do a more conventional design that will be easier to sell later.
Is the Stargazer's unique design a hit to resale value worth?

But it's a gamble and could pay out. If it does become iconic, it might actually be a better value than boring MPVs. Consider how well aged unique cars such as the original Mini or VW Beetle.
Is the Stargazer's unique design a hit to resale value worth?
02 January 2025 12:25
Not worth it for me. I'd rather have something practical, and easy to sell when I want to upgrade. The Stargazer is like it's trying too hard.
Is the Stargazer's unique design a hit to resale value worth?
02 January 2025 12:25
It depends, I think, on how long you intend to keep it. If you’re in it for the long haul, go for it. Maybe stick to something more conventional if you switch cars every 3-4 years.
Is the Stargazer's unique design a hit to resale value worth?
02 January 2025 12:25
That’s exactly why it might have value because of the unique design. Amidst a lot of MPVs that are carbon copies of each other, the Stargazer does stand out. In the used market that uniqueness could be appealing.
Is the Stargazer's unique design a hit to resale value worth?
02 January 2025 12:25
If you really love the design, it’s worth it. Cars depreciate anyways why not enjoy what you’re driving. You don't have all the time in the world to drive a boring car!
Is the Hyundai Stargazer's unique design a success or failure?
02 January 2025 12:25
It's definitely a hit for me! It's finally an MPV that doesn't appear to be a boring bread box on wheels. I feel like I am driving a spaceship from Star Trek.
