When Hero Hastur 620 is going to be launched in India? And where it will be available initially?
02 January 2023 06:35
Hero Hastur has not yet been spotted in a production ready avatar in the country. This makes the fact more strong that it would take a lot more time for its launch. Hero's extensive work on the HX250R has also pushed back the 600cc segment bike. You can expect the same to be available at selected dealerships in the major 100 cities of the country as the sale of the bike would be focused in the most developed markets first. It carries a 620cc engine producing 78.9 BHP @ 9600 rpm and 72 NM @ 7750 rpm. The gearbox on the same is a 6-speed unit and comes with just 160 kg of kerb weight. It's top speed is rated at 240 kmph.
Am confused between Hero Glamour and Super Splendor?
02 January 2023 06:35
Your current bike seems to have some manufacturing defect in case of its clutch plates as Hero bikes are known for their reliable working and long life. The other case where 100 cc bikes fail at slopes is true to every engine of that segment. Either you have to pull it at some speed from a far distance or you have to put it in the first gear to do so. You should consider some more powerful engine in that case and Hero's 125cc bikes are not that powerful as others in the segment. The 124.7 cc engine on Glamour and Super Splendor produces just 9 BHP and 10.35 NM of torque.
On the other hand, the best seller of the 125cc category, Honda CB Shine comes with 10.12 BHP and 10.54 NM of torque. It is even 7 kg lighter than the Glamour and gets an option of CBS for better braking. It starts with a price tag of INR 55,559.
The third and the best option is TVS Phoenix 125. It comes with a more powerful 124.53 cc engine producing 10.8 BHP and 10.8 NM of torque. The bike even weighs 9 kg less than the Hero Glamour. It also has an option of disc brake and comes with segment first features like digital instrument console and vehicle locator. It starts at a price tag of INR 52,910 and comes with the best available power, torque ratios. It would return a mileage of around 55 kmpl and comes with the best price among all the others.
You can once test ride all of them and choose the best one for yourself. You can even get your old bike exchanged for a new one. I even suggest you to report the same inconvenience in an email to the Hero customer care.

Carburettor tuning can be done for a better mileage and that will also influence the acceleration of the scooter.

When is Hero going to launch the ZIR 150 in India?
02 January 2023 06:33
Hero ZIR has been displayed in its production ready version earlier but still does not have a launch date on its side. The only reason for the mishap was the EBR bankruptcy, which halted the research and further testing of their newly developed products. The most probable launch of the ZIR 150 would be after the launch of HX250R, which has also faced the same problems as the ZIR 150. You would have to most probably wait till the next year or you can consider checking its yet to be launched rivals like Honda PCX and Yamaha XMAX. Most probably, all of these would launch in a same quarter of the next year. ZIR would get a 14.1 BHP, 157.1 cc engine with an automatic gearbox. It would be priced upward of INR 85,000.

How is the sound of the Hero Hastur 620 and can we put extra vibrational sound silencer.....like R1 and Hayabusa?
02 January 2023 06:32
Hero Hastur has not been spotted in a production ready avatar. Its sound would be below the government directed NVH levels and putting a loud silencer for more noise would be strictly prohibited in the coming days. The time till the Hastur will be arrive, the officials will ban the use of aftermarket exhaust system as they have currently fined some riders as well as the garages who are involved in these cases. I expect that the exhaust note of the Hastur would be good enough that it does not require modifications to its exhaust system. It will get its power from a powerful 2-cylinder 620 cc engine producing 79 BHP and 72 NM of torque. It would most probably debut in 2016 as a mass production ready version.
