Does the Pulsar NS250 fulfill the meaning of the "Naked Sport" in terms of performance?

Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed. A 250cc Pulsar was not expected to have more grunt. It’s quick, yes, but not in the raw, sporty way I was hoping for. In my book, more commuter than sport.

The NS250 is solid for the price point. It is not going to keep up with a KTM, but it is plenty sporty for most riders. It’s also much more comfortable for daily use.

I believe people are missing the point. It's not about performance, it's about the riding experience, and that's the "Naked Sport." It’s not intimidating, but it’s engaging and fun. That's what matters.

Having ridden both the NS200 and NS250, I can assure you the 250 earns its 'Sport' title. It makes a massive difference in highway overtakes and spirited riding.
Does the Pulsar NS250 fulfill the meaning of the "Naked Sport" in terms of performance?

It's a mixed bag. It's a sporty, eager engine, but the soft suspension means it's not a true performance machine. With a few tweaks, it could truly be what it’s named.

I find the NS250 lacking in the sport department, coming from bigger bikes. For new riders or those upgrading from smaller bikes, it might feel very sporty, but for most people, it’s nice. It's all relative.
Is the Bajaj Pulsar NS250 worth the upgrade from the NS200?
30 January 2025 10:02
Absolutely worth it! That said, the NS250 punches a lot harder in the mid range, and that makes a big difference in real world riding. It's not just about how fast you can go, but how quickly you can pass on highways.
Is the Bajaj Pulsar NS250 worth the upgrade from the NS200?
30 January 2025 10:02
Honestly, I don't think so. The extra 50cc doesn’t justify the price bump, but the NS200 is already a capable machine. That money would be better spent on upgrades to your NS200.
Is the Bajaj Pulsar NS250 worth the upgrade from the NS200?
30 January 2025 10:02
That depends on your riding style. If you spend a lot of highway miles, the NS250 is a no brainer. For city commuting, the NS200 is more than enough and won’t break the bank.
Is the Bajaj Pulsar NS250 worth the upgrade from the NS200?
30 January 2025 10:02
I upgraded and kind of regret it. Don't get me wrong, the NS250 is great, but the difference isn't quite as dramatic as I thought it would be. Also, the NS200 has a very large aftermarket that the NS250 does not have.
Is the Bajaj Pulsar NS250 worth the upgrade from the NS200?

Refinement alone is worth the NS250. And overall it’s smoother, less vibey at high speeds, and just feels more premium. If you can afford it, then by all means go for it.
Is the Bajaj Pulsar NS250 worth the upgrade from the NS200?

Instead, I’d say wait for the next gen NS200. Expect Bajaj to give it a quick update with some NS250 features and you get the best of both worlds.

If you are a track day enthusiast the NS250 is definitely worth it. But it’s when you’re really pushing the bike to its limits where the extra power really shines.
Is the NS160's oil-cooled engine actually better than air-cooled alternatives?

Honestly, I can't tell much difference. Maybe it helps on really hot days, but in normal riding, it seems like overkill for a 160cc.
Is the NS160's oil-cooled engine actually better than air-cooled alternatives?

The oil cooling definitely helps. I've ridden both, and the NS160 stays noticeably cooler during long rides in traffic.

It's more of a marketing gimmick than a real advantage. Air-cooled engines in this segment work just fine.

The oil cooling gives peace of mind. You don't worry about overheating even when pushing the bike hard.
Is the NS160's oil-cooled engine actually better than air-cooled alternatives?

It's better in theory, but in practice, the difference is minimal. Not worth the extra cost and complexity, in my opinion.
Is the NS160's oil-cooled engine actually better than air-cooled alternatives?

For city riding, you won't notice much difference. But on highways or in hilly areas, the oil cooling really shines.

It's a nice feature to have, but not a deal-breaker. The NS160 has other strengths that matter more in day-to-day riding.
