Overkill? Maybe. I'd rather have them and not need them than need them and not have them. They are great for the building of confidence.

I hardly even touch most of the settings. Stick it in sport mode and leave it. The rest is just marketing fluff.

On sketchy roads, the traction control is a godsend. It has saved my bacon more than once. Worth it for that alone.

If you actually learn to use it, it’s not overkill. It took me a little time to dial in my preferences, but I just love messing with settings for different conditions.

It makes the bike more accessible to a wider range of riders, I think. You don’t have to scare yourself silly to grow into the performance.

Street riding is pretty useless with the pit limiter, but the rest of the package is solid. The cornering ABS especially.

Having options is nice but it can be information overload. I sometimes miss the simplicity of my old analog bikes.

The electronics are fantastic, but they are not a substitute for skill. You still need to know what you’re doing to ride this beast properly.

I really don't know if I can tell a difference. Can they not work at 180mph on the track, but for street riding? Pure bling.

They definitely work! After upgrading to the winglet model however, I noticed way less wheelie tendency. Makes it much smoother to do hard acceleration.

I think it's mostly placebo. They look cool and make me feel like Maverick Viñales, so who cares?

They work at higher speeds, especially in sweeping turns, and you can feel it. Planted stability adds. Not game changing, but noticeable.

While they are functional, I wouldn’t say they are worth the money for most riders. You won't notice much unless you're a track junkie pushing the limits.

I took mine off and did not notice any performance difference. I miss how they looked now...

The real benefit, though, is psychological. Confidence is a nice thing to have and knowing you have MotoGP tech on your bike makes you feel like a badass and that confidence translates to better riding.

I feel that they are more useful for keeping the front end down on hard acceleration. It definitely helps me get on the power earlier out of corners.

Who are we kidding, 99% of us bought them because they look cool. It’s just a bonus if you get any performance gain!
