Our take on this /// Verdict
The Tata Nano, particularly the newer iterations like the 2025 model, is a significant improvement over its predecessors, making it a compelling choice for urban drivers in India. The cars compact design, coupled with its sleek exterior and modern interior, makes it an ideal vehicle for navigating congested city roads. The addition of features such as LED headlights, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and essential safety features like dual airbags and ABS with EBD, enhance its appeal. However, the AMT versions performance can be sluggish, and the suspension could be better tuned. Despite these minor drawbacks, the Nanos affordability, low running costs, and eco-friendly hybrid variant make it a smart choice for those seeking a practical and efficient city car.
Price
The 2025 Tata Nano is priced very competitively in the Indian market. The base model starts at around 3.5 lakhs ex-showroom, making it one of the most affordable options in its segment. When you factor in the on-road costs, including registration, insurance, and other taxes, the price can go up to around 4.5 lakhs. The hybrid variant, while slightly pricier, offers long-term fuel savings that justify the additional cost. This pricing strategy makes the Nano an attractive option for budget-conscious buyers who are looking for a reliable and feature-packed city car without breaking the bank.
Mileage
Thursday, 21 November 2024 02:03 PM
The Tata Nano is known for its fuel efficiency, which is a crucial factor for many Indian buyers. The car delivers a mileage of around 20 kmpl in city driving and up to 25 kmpl on the highway, depending on the driving conditions. The hybrid variant further enhances fuel economy, making it an excellent choice for those concerned about running costs. With an average monthly maintenance cost of around 500, the Nano is a cost-effective option for daily commuting.
