Maruti Suzuki introduced the new 1.5-litre diesel engine in the Ertiga in April 2019, just days after announcing the phase-out of all diesel models. This move was part of their strategy to comply with new emission norms. The diesel variant was priced starting at Rs 9.86 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). I believe this diesel option added a significant layer of versatility to the Ertigas lineup.

The base variants of the Maruti Ertiga, LXI and LDI, were discontinued in March 2019. This decision was made as inventories of these variants were still abundant with dealerships. The discontinuation meant that the petrol Ertiga would now be offered with an optional automatic transmission across all trims. I think this move helped streamline the product offerings and focus on more popular variants.

The 2019 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga was crash tested by Global NCAP and received a 3-star safety rating for both adult and child occupant protection. The safety features included dual airbags, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and an electronic stability program (ESP). I believe while the rating is decent, theres always room for improvement in safety standards.

Maruti Suzuki rolled out a new cab variant of the Ertiga MPV, the Maruti Suzuki Tour M diesel, targeted at fleet operators. This variant was priced at Rs 9.81 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and featured the new 1.5-litre DDiS diesel engine. It claimed an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 24.2 kmpl. I think this move was a smart strategy to capture the fleet market.

The 2019 Maruti Ertiga saw significant cosmetic changes, including a new front grille, updated headlamps, and a revised rear bumper. These changes gave the Ertiga a more modern and sleek appearance. I believe these updates helped keep the Ertiga competitive in its segment.

The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, launched in 2019, achieved nearly 10,000 bookings in just one week, highlighting its popularity in the Indian market. The car was priced starting at Rs 7.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and the booking amount was Rs 11,000. Waiting periods stretched to 2-3 months depending on the variant and color. I think this rapid uptake shows the Ertigas strong appeal to Indian buyers.

The new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga was equipped with a 1.5-litre petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology, producing 103 PS and 137 Nm of torque. It also offered a CNG variant with 88 PS and 121.5 Nm of torque. The petrol engine was paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. I think the introduction of mild-hybrid technology was a step in the right direction for fuel efficiency.

The 2019 Ertiga featured several convenience and safety features, including a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and a rear camera. Higher trims also got additional safety features like two side airbags. I believe these features significantly enhanced the overall driving experience.

Maruti Suzuki announced that the Ertiga would be available in several color options, including Pearl Metallic Dignity Brown, Pearl Metallic Arctic White, and Prime Oxford Blue, among others. This variety helped buyers choose a color that suited their taste. I think the color palette was quite appealing and added to the cars visual appeal.
Wednesday, 21 November 2018 06:50 AM
The 2019 Maruti Ertiga was available in four broad trims: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. The VXi and ZXi trims also came with an optional CNG kit. This range of trims catered to different buyer preferences and budgets. I believe the trim options provided good value for money across various segments.

Overall the car is awesome but I dislike that u didn’t provide safety features like 6 airbags at least in ZDI + as it’s so expensive for the middle class as they are investing 12 lakhs in ZDI+ variant at least 6 airbags should be given
Best Features: Interiors of black and beige,AC vents,ABS,EBD,ESP all included
Pros: Interior colour beige I love that plus the chrome grill and chrome door handle good usage of chrome AC VENTS properly placed to cool the car
Cons: Atleast in ZDI plus diesel u must provide 6 airbags as it’s so expensive and the tyre size is too small just 14 to 15 inches atleast 16 inch u must have given in ZDI plus ie top variant
