Maruti Celerio LXi (O) Automatic (Old Model)

About
The Maruti Celerio LXi (O) Automatic (Old Model) is a compact hatchback that excels in practicality and fuel efficiency. Powered by a 998 cc K10B engine, it produces 68 bhp at 6000 rpm and 90 Nm of torque at 3500 rpm. The automatic transmission, though not without its quirks, is well-suited for urban driving. The car features a comfortable and spacious cabin, with amenities like power steering, air conditioning, and power windows. It also has a decent boot space of 235 litres and a fuel tank capacity of 35 litres. The suspension is well-tuned, providing a smooth ride, and the front brakes offer a strong bite. While it may lack in rear seat comfort for taller passengers and could improve in terms of safety features and plastic quality, it remains a solid choice for small families and city commuters.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Maruti Celerio LXi (O) Automatic (Old Model) is a compelling option for those seeking a practical and fuel-efficient vehicle, particularly for city driving. The automatic transmission makes it a blessing in bumper-to-bumper traffic, although there can be a noticeable lag and jerk during gear changes. The ride quality is smooth, with good insulation from cabin noise and vibrations, and the power steering is light and easy to maneuver. However, the rear seats could be more comfortable for taller passengers, and the plastic quality inside the cabin is not as premium as some competitors. Overall, it offers great value for money, especially considering Marutis reliable service network and low maintenance costs.
Price
The Maruti Celerio LXi (O) Automatic (Old Model) is priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price for this variant is around Rs. 6.29 Lakh. However, the on-road price, which includes additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other taxes, can range from Rs. 7.2 Lakh to Rs. 7.5 Lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. This pricing makes it an attractive option for budget-conscious buyers who are looking for a reliable and feature-packed hatchback.

Tuesday, 20 June 2023 05:23 PM In terms of design, the old Maruti Celerio LXi (O) Automatic had a more boxy and angular look compared to the newer models. It featured conventional halogen headlamps and simpler taillamps. The interior was basic but functional, with features like power windows and central locking. Tuesday, 20 September 2022 02:16 PM Maruti Suzuki discontinued the old Celerio model after a successful 7-year run, replacing it with a new generation that offers more features and a modern design. The old model is still available in the used car market. I think the new model is a significant upgrade, but the old one still holds its value.

Good Family Car

I selected Maruti Celerio beacuse of its affordability and features. Now, it's been almost 7 months I bought it. It is stylish in looks and the automatic transmission make it most reasonable car in its segment. The engine is powerful and responsive. The pickup is good but sometime there is lack of power at 4th gear which I have to shift down to 3rd for overtaking. Suspension is perfect neither too hard nor too soft and the front brake is also very good with strong bite. Talking about inside, it has very comfortable seats at front with good thigh and back support. But the rear seats are not upto the mark. It is uncomfortable for the taller passengers specially on long trips. It has enough luggage room at the back with folding rear seat arrangement. I am fully satisfied with my Celerio and If u too planning to buy One. Big from my side.
