Our take on this /// Verdict
The Maruti Alto Xcite Edition, although discontinued, remains a notable mention in the Indian automotive landscape. This limited edition variant of the Maruti Alto, introduced in 2009, was praised for its smooth driving experience, power steering, and convenient features like power windows and a remote boot release. The cars performance, while not exceptional, was adequate for city commuting and provided a decent balance between fuel efficiency and power. However, the pickup was slightly compromised when the air conditioner was on, particularly on gradients. Overall, it was a good value-for-money option at the time of its release, offering a blend of comfort, features, and fuel efficiency that made it appealing to many Indian buyers.
Price
The ex-showroom price of the Maruti Alto Xcite Edition in India was approximately 3,10,000 in Delhi, though prices could vary depending on the location. On-road prices would have included additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, which could have pushed the total cost to around 3.5 to 4 lakhs. Considering the features and performance it offered, the pricing was competitive and aligned with the budget-friendly segment that Maruti Suzuki is known for. However, since the model is discontinued, these prices are now historical and would not apply to current market conditions.
