About
The Mahindra Axe 4x4 is a rugged and powerful off-road vehicle designed to tackle the toughest terrains. It features a robust engine and a manual transmission with instantaneous and aggressive gear changes. The unassisted steering provides a raw driving experience, and the vehicles lofty stance and aggressive design give it significant street presence. The Axe is built for serious off-roading, with features like leech-like grip and the ability to handle challenging terrain with ease. While it may lack the comfort and modern amenities of other SUVs, the Axe is a solid choice for those who need a reliable and capable off-road vehicle. Its high ground clearance and robust build make it well-suited for Indias varied and often challenging road conditions.

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Mahindra Axe 4x4 is a formidable off-road vehicle that commands respect with its rugged design and robust capabilities. However, my experience with this vehicle has been mixed. On one hand, the Axe boasts tremendous street presence and an aggressive gear change that feels truly raw, especially with its unassisted steering. This gives it a unique, raw driving experience that off-road enthusiasts might appreciate. On the other hand, the lack of modern amenities and the somewhat primitive feel of the vehicle might not appeal to everyone. The Axe is clearly built for those who prioritize off-road prowess over comfort and luxury, making it a niche product that will appeal to a specific segment of buyers.
Price
The Mahindra Axe 4x4 is priced at around 1,500,000.00 ex-showroom in India. When you factor in the on-road costs, including taxes, registration, and insurance, the price can easily exceed 1,700,000.00. While this may seem steep for some, its important to consider the Axes unique capabilities and the fact that it is essentially a specialized off-road vehicle. For those who need a vehicle that can handle extreme off-road conditions, the Axe offers value in its durability and performance, even if it doesnt come with the frills of more modern SUVs.
Mileage
Friday, 22 November 2024 01:17 PM
The mileage of the Mahindra Axe 4x4 is not its strongest suit, given its focus on off-road capability rather than fuel efficiency. With a large and powerful engine, the Axe is expected to deliver mileage in the range of 6-8 kml, depending on the driving conditions. This is relatively low compared to other SUVs in the market, but for those who prioritize off-road performance, the trade-off in fuel efficiency might be acceptable.

Mahindra Axe 4x4 Discussion
WHEN IS "AXE" COMING TO MARKET? (really need to know)
Up to some extent this can be compared to HUMVEE & land rover but it is totally built for Indian environment Keeping in minds the Indian needs.
Advantages are:
-It is mine resistant up to little extent
-It hes 90 L water internal stowage
-A very powerful engine.
Disadvantages are:
-Heavy
-costly for indian army.
Ya looks great...sir, what is its speed? can it be compared with EUROPEAN & AMERICAN type HUMVVE'S.
How much time it wll take to come into our aresnal. Is any advanced technology used n this or as usually old ones.......and why 1500000rs for this vehicle? seems bit costly.
Desi version of humvee in india...only for army.
