Our take on this /// Verdict
The Hyundai Getz GLE is a solid choice for those seeking a reliable and comfortable hatchback. Owners praise its spacious interior, comfortable seats, and excellent ride quality, making it a pleasure for both city driving and long road trips. The engine, although not the most powerful, is quiet and smooth, with a gearbox that demands quick shifts. However, the initial pickup in lower gears can be a bit sluggish, and fuel economy, averaging around 12-15 kmpl, could be better. Despite these minor drawbacks, the Getz GLE offers superb build quality, smooth gear shifts, and great handling, making it a good package for those who can afford the premium pricing.
Price
The Hyundai Getz GLE, although discontinued, was priced competitively in its time. The ex-showroom price for the Getz GLE variant was around Rs. 4.01 lakh. When considering on-road prices, which include additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other taxes, the total would have been closer to Rs. 4.5 to 5 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. While these prices are historical, they give an idea of the value proposition the Getz GLE offered. For those looking to purchase a used model, prices would vary based on the cars condition, mileage, and location.
Mileage
Friday, 22 November 2024 05:28 PM
The mileage of the Hyundai Getz GLE is a crucial factor for potential buyers. It offers a fuel efficiency of around 15.3 to 16.8 kmpl, according to ARAI ratings. In real-world conditions, owners have reported an average of about 12-15 kmpl, especially with city driving and the use of air conditioning. This makes the Getz GLE a reasonably economical choice, though not the most fuel-efficient in its class.

Hyundai Getz GLE Discussion
HYUNDAI still hurts over its pile-‘em-high/sell-‘em-cheap days of the driveaway Excel and early Accents. Today it wants the world to know how well its vehicles score in the influential JD Power owner-satisfaction surveys. And how happy people are with their everyday Hyundais like the Getz. But the latter is under attack from cheaper rivals like Kia’s Rio and now the ex-Daewoo Holden Barina, yet the company is standing firm with its more powerful, more refined Getz facelift that it says buyers will appreciate because it’s better finished and more pleasurable to live with. So let’s get this Getz straight: you’re buying Hyundai over a Holden because it’s a better quality product, right?
