Honda City VX

About
The Honda City VX is a well-rounded sedan that excels in several key areas. It features a 1.5L free-revving engine that is a joy to drive, mated to a slick transmission that provides smooth gear shifts. The interior is spacious and premium, with comfortable seating and good ergonomics. The VX variant includes a sunroof, rear AC vents, and auto-roll updown windows, enhancing the comfort and convenience. The car also boasts good safety features, including a 5-star ASEAN NCAP rating and advanced safety kits. While it has some limitations, such as low ground clearance and the absence of certain advanced features, the City VX remains a reliable and comfortable choice for both city driving and highway trips. USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Honda City VX is a compelling choice in the sedan segment, offering a balance of comfort, performance, and practicality. I find the City VX to be particularly appealing due to its well-tuned steering, smooth engine, and comfortable seating. The cars spacious cabin and boot make it an excellent option for families. However, there are a few areas that could be improved, such as the low ground clearance, which can be a concern on rough roads, and the lack of advanced features like ventilated seats and a 360-degree camera. Despite these minor drawbacks, the City VX stands out for its reliability, good ergonomics, and strong safety features, including a 5-star ASEAN NCAP rating. Overall, it is a solid choice for those seeking a comfortable and reliable sedan.
Price
The Honda City VX variant is priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price for the Honda City VX typically ranges around 14-15 lakhs, depending on the location and any local taxes. When you factor in the on-road costs, including registration, insurance, and other charges, the price can go up to around 16-17 lakhs. This pricing makes the VX variant a value-for-money option, offering a good balance of features and affordability. For instance, the VX variant includes essential features like a sunroof, rear sunshades, and auto-roll updown windows, which are often missing in lower variants. This makes it an attractive choice for buyers who want a well-equipped sedan without breaking the bank.

Hyundai Verna petrol (2014 model) vs. Honda City VX diesel (2015)?

Honda CIty Diesel (2015) is better than Verna Petrol. It is good in both looks and performance.

Hyundai Verna petrol (2014 model) vs. Honda City VX diesel (2015)?
29 December 2022 05:41

The 2014 Verna 1.6 SX would be a winner if considered from the performance point of view. It comes with a much responsive 1591 cc, 4-cylinder petrol motor producing 121.4 BHP @ 6300 rpm and 154.94 NM @ 4200 rpm. The Verna comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox and returns a 13-14 kmpl mileage. On the other hand the Honda City diesel VX diesel is a mileage oriented car with 25.1 kmpl of certified mileage. The Honda City comes with a 1.5 L engine producing 98.6 BHP @ 3,600 rpm and 200 NM @ 1,750 rpm. It gets a 6-speed manual transmission. The Verna would easily get away with its high power output whereas both will compete tough on the top speed end.

helpful 4

Honda city diesel version is worst car in this segment . Always create problems and too much noisy cabin . Car's finishing is not up to the standard. I have bought this car in Feb. 2015 .

Best Features: AC Control panel

Pros: Style is good but finishing is very bad

Cons: Noisy cabin, horns are cheap quality not working properly
