Discussions and Questions - Hyundai Aura Hyundai Aura

Is the Aura's frequent relay problems enough to make it unreliable for long trips?
02 January 2025 07:24
People are blowing this out of proportion, I think. All cars have issues and the relay problem with the Aura appears to only be present on a small percentage of the cars produced. But Hyundai's been pretty good about fixing it under warranty. If you’re worried, you can always keep a portable jump starter in the car for peace of mind on long trips.
Is the Aura's boot space practical or just good on paper?
02 January 2025 07:24
The boot looks good on paper, but in practice it’s a bit of a letdown. The wheel arches eat into the usable space and the opening is narrow. Larger suitcases have been difficult for me to fit. If boot space is high on your priority, you are better off with something like the Honda Amaze.
The hype surrounding the Aura's infotainment system, does it live up to it?
02 January 2025 07:24
I don’t think the Aura’s infotainment system is as bad as people make it out to be. For the price point, it’s actually pretty good. It's a bright screen that is visible even in sunlight, the touch response is quick, and wireless Android Auto is a big plus. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely one of the better systems in its segment.
Does the Aura’s ride quality make it suitable for Indian roads?
02 January 2025 07:24
If you're somebody who is frequently found behind the wheel in both city streets and highways, then you'll appreciate the fit the Aura wears in between the two. The chair is comfortable enough for daily commutes and doesn’t feel too floaty on highways. It’s not perfect, but if you’re looking for a good price, it’s a good balance.
Is the Hyundai Aura a glorified taxi or a legit family car?
02 January 2025 07:24
Definitely more than a taxi! I’ve had an Aura for two years now and it’s been great for my family. It's spacious enough for four adults, there's decent boot space and the features on the higher trims are pretty good. You see a lot of them as taxis, but that’s because they’re reliable and efficient. If you are looking for a solid, affordable family car, don’t let the taxi image put you off.
