Striking Design and Features
First things first, the Tenere 700 Extreme stands out with its striking blue livery, which not only commands attention but also features subtle neon green accents. The bike's tall and lean rally-inspired stance has always been a head-turner, and the vertically oriented 5-inch TFT console adds to the rally bike aesthetics. With a roadbook-style screen option, you'll feel like a rally racer even on your daily commute.
Off-Road Dominance
But what truly sets the Tenere 700 Extreme apart is its off-road prowess. It boasts a bright KYB fully adjustable fork with an impressive 230mm of suspension travel. Even the KYB mono-shock provides 220mm of wheel travel, a 20mm improvement compared to the standard Tenere 700. All of this results in a ground clearance of 260mm which makes you feel invincible over any terrain. The seat height is equally impressive at 910mm, creating a commanding riding position.

India Misses Out

Despite the immense demand for adventure bikes like the Triumph Tiger 900 and BMW F 850 GS, Yamaha has no plans to introduce the Extreme version in India anytime soon and it is a tough pill to swallow for Indian adventure enthusiasts.

Yamaha continues to expand its Tenere 700 lineup, and the Extreme variant is the most off-road-focused iteration yet. With fully adjustable KYB suspension, the tallest seat height in the lineup, and maximum ground clearance, it is a dream machine for adventure seekers. Powering the Tenere 700 Extreme is the tried and tested 689cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin CP2 engine, delivering a consistent 73.4hp and 68Nm, just like the rest of the lineup. The sturdy double-cradle steel tube frame remains unchanged offering reliability and stability.
A Bike for the Adventure Seeker
To further enhance its off-road capabilities, the Tenere 700 Extreme comes equipped from the factory with titanium footrests and a distinctive beaky front fender. The 5-inch vertical TFT dash offers three separate display themes and allows you to disable ABS through the menus.
The Yamaha Tenere 700 Extreme is an outstanding addition to the Tenere family that caters to the most ardent adventure riders and it is a bike that will wow even the most seasoned riders with its distinctive design, superb off-road features, and dependable performance. However, for Indian enthusiasts, the wait for this legendary bike continues, as Yamaha has no immediate plans to introduce it to the Indian market.
