UM Renegade series has been launched with BS4 compliant engines for both Commando and Sport S in India. The retro modern Commando gets a price tag of INR 1.74 lakh while Sport S now comes at INR 1.68 lakh. Both the prices are ex-showroom Delhi. The addition of fuel injection helped them get BS4 compliant as the company now claims that they produce higher and consistent power with better and accurate throttle response. This claim certainly hints at better power output from the fuel injected models.

BS4 Renegade Commando EFi and Sport S EFi Launched in India

Renegade series uses a 279.5 cc, single cylinder engine that was good for 24.8 HP at 8500 rpm and 21.8 Nm at 7000 rpm. The gearbox remains six speed on the new version while no other change in component has been reported by the company. The higher performance values are still undisclosed for the 2017 variant. The company has pushed their sales target up to 12,000 units in this financial year. Currently, UM has 38 dealerships across the country and they plan to expand more into the Tier 2 and 3 cities this year.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajeev Mishra, CEO, UM Lohia Two Wheelers Pvt. Ltd said, "We are happy to announce that following the implementation of BS-IV pollution norms in India, both Renegade Commando EFI and Renegade Sports S EFI fully comply with the stringent pollution norms. Our bikes will now come equipped with fuel injection engines that shall produce extra power for an increased driving pleasure."
