Toyota is set to enhance its Innova Hycross lineup with the introduction of new mid-spec GX (O) variants. These variants are positioned above the existing GX trim and will be available in both 7-seater and 8-seater configurations. Although the official prices are yet to be announced, it is anticipated that the GX (O) variants will be priced higher than the GX trim, which currently starts at Rs 19.77 lakh (ex-showroom).
Key Features of the GX (O) Variants
The GX (O) variants will offer several additional features compared to the GX variants, including:
- LED front fog lamps for improved visibility in adverse weather conditions
- Auto climate control for maintaining a comfortable cabin temperature
- A larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system for the 7-seater variant provides an immersive multimedia experience
- A rear retractable sunshade for the 7-seater variant, offering added privacy and protection from the sun
- An 8-inch touchscreen unit for the 8-seater variant ensures entertainment and connectivity for all passengers
In terms of safety, the new GX (O) variants will come equipped with a rear defogger, a reversing camera, and front and rear parking sensors. Standard safety features across the Innova Hycross range include six airbags, vehicle stability control (VSC), electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and ISOFIX child seat mounts. The top-of-the-line ZX (O) variant in the strong-hybrid lineup also offers advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and rear cross-traffic alert.

Under the hood, the GX (O) variants will continue to be powered by the 2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, with no changes to the powertrain specifications:

The Toyota Innova Hycross GX (O) variants are expected to compete with premium alternatives like the Toyota Innova Crysta and Kia Carens.
