Sales Report: Top 10 Best-Selling Scooters in India

The list of top 10 best-selling scooters in India in February 2019 saw an eventual decrease in the sales for the top-selling models like Honda Activa and TVS Jupiter, though certain new scooters registered growth in comparison to the last year. Overall, the results are disappointing. It is clear that the sales for the scooters do run low as compared to the motorcycles but 2019 saw a drastic change as compared to the previous years disregarding the affordable prices and better reliability.

Sales Data Source [caption id="attachment_196563" align="aligncenter" width="540"]Honda Activa 5G Honda Activa 5G[/caption] Topping the list of best-selling scooters in February 2019 is Honda Activa that has been able to get a sales figure of 2,05,239 units in Feb 2019, going down almost 17% as compared to the 2,47,377 units sold in the sameĀ month in 2018. Next on the list is TVS Jupiter being able to sell 48,688 units which again is 23% down from last year sales. Suzuki Access being ranked at the number 3rd does seem to hit the market with a gradual increase in sales going all the way to 48,265 units from 39,061 units. A mere of 8% increase in the sales have been witnessed for Honda Dio making it rank at the number 4. [caption id="attachment_385617" align="aligncenter" width="529"]Suzuki Access 125 Suzuki Access 125[/caption] The newbies in the market such as Hero Destini 125 as well as TVS NTorq have been able to get sales figures of 24,018 and 16,370 respectively with NTorq witnessing an increase of almost 97%. Though Hero Pleasure being ranked at number 7, the scooter saw a decrease of 10% in the total sales in comparison to the sales figure in the same month last year. The Yamaha Fascinio has been doing good with a total number of 14,939 units. Disappointing sales have also been recorded for Yamaha Ray and Hero Fascino going all the way down to 11,700 units and 10,223 units, ranking on the list at number 9 and 10 respectively.
