Tesla Cybertruck Deliveries Begin on Nov. 30 with an Initial Production Capacity of 125,000 Units

After a lengthy four-year wait, Tesla has officially confirmed that the first customer deliveries of the highly anticipated electric Cybertruck will commence on November 30.
When Tesla revealed its third-quarter financial results, it made this eagerly awaited disclosure during a call. It's worth noting that Tesla CEO Elon Musk had initially stated in April that Cybertruck deliveries would begin in the third quarter, which didn't materialize. Nevertheless, the news that deliveries are now imminent will be welcomed by the millions who have reserved a Cybertruck as it marks a significant step toward its production becoming a reality.
According to financial estimates, Tesla is already producing a pilot version of the Cybertruck at its Texas Gigafactory, with a potential production run of up to 125,000 units. Elon Musk also expressed his hope that Tesla would eventually be capable of producing as many as 250,000 Cybertrucks annually, although this target might not be reached until 2025.

Will the Cybertruck maintain its originally announced starting price of 900?

While the prospect of Cybertruck deliveries is just six weeks away, Tesla has yet to specify the pricing details for the electric truck. When the Cybertruck was initially unveiled in late 2019, Tesla indicated that it would start at a base price of,900, with mid-range variants priced at,900, and a flagship tri-motor model available for,900. Regrettably, these price points were removed from the Tesla website in 2021, and there have been no subsequent mentions of pricing. Similarly, production specifications for the Cybertruck remain shrouded in mystery.

During discussions with analysts and investors Elon Musk also pointed out that it may take up to 18 months before the Cybertruck becomes a significant positive contributor to Tesla's cash flow.

"I just want to temper expectations for Cybertruck," said Musk. Although it is a fantastic product, it will not become a major positive contribution to cash flow for another year or so. My best guess is that there must be a way to be different, but I wish it were so. I would like to stress that, first of all, I believe this to be our best product to date, but it will take a great deal of work to reach value production, be cash flow positive, and be priced reasonably for consumers."
