Introduction

Tata Motors has recently unveiled a new range of Small Commercial Vehicles (SCVs) and pickup trucks responding to the evolving demands of customers in the domain of first and last-mile transportation. The new models including the Intra V70, Intra V20 Gold, and Ace HT+, have been strategically developed to not only meet but exceed expectations in terms of higher payloads and reduced ownership costs.

1. Intra V70 Pick-up

The Intra V70 Pick-up is a pinnacle of Tata Motors' innovation, featuring a meticulously designed cabin that provides a level of comfort akin to passenger cars. With an amazing 1,700 kg payload capacity, it is the most noteworthy characteristic. The loading area, which is 2960mm (9.7 feet) long and offers unparalleled cargo capacity, makes it a fantastic choice for businesses with a range of transportation requirements. The 1.5L diesel engine under the Intra V70's hood produces 220 Nm of torque and is mated to the cutting-edge Fleet Edge telematics system, demonstrating the marriage of power and cutting-edge technology.

2. Intra V20 Gold

Setting a new standard in versatility and eco-friendliness, the Intra V20 Gold is India's first-ever bi-fuel pickup, this model offers a unique feature that allows it to run on both conventional gasoline and compressed natural gas (CNG), in addition to its amazing 1,200 kg payload capacity. Its class-leading 2690mm load body length guarantees versatility for a range of freight sizes. The Intra V20 Gold meets the demands of efficiency and environmental sensitivity in contemporary transportation by offering a longer range of up to 800 km while operating on three CNG tanks.

3. Ace HT+

The Ace HT+ is positioned as a highly capable commercial vehicle with a payload capacity of 900 kilograms. With the greatest deck length in its class, its extended loading area is what sets it apart. Its capacity to carry cargo is increased by this feature, which also increases the owners' earning potential. Powering the Ace HT+ is an 800cc turbocharged diesel engine, delivering 35 horsepower and 85 Nm torque, emphasizing a harmonious blend of power and fuel efficiency.

Updated Models

In addition to the new launches, Tata Motors has re-engineered existing models, introducing updated versions of the Intra V50 and Ace Diesel. Maximizing fuel efficiency will reduce fuel use and, consequently, ownership costs. This is the primary objective of these changes. With a 1,500 kg payload capacity, the Intra V50 proves its driving prowess in difficult driving situations. Meanwhile, the small-business-focused Ace Diesel has a potent engine that is capable of performing a range of transportation tasks.

Manufacturer's Perspective

In launching these vehicles, Mr. Girish Wagh, Executive Director at Tata Motors, underscores the meticulous development process based on specific inputs and demands from a diverse segment of actual users, he highlights that the purpose of these vehicles is to maximize fuel efficiency and to tow heavier loads over longer distances. The significance of first- and last-mile transportation for logistics management is highlighted by rising consumption, e-commerce expansion, growing urbanization, and the emergence of the hub-and-spoke model. According to Mr. Wagh, each car is designed to be a strong and reliable cargo transport option, offering both fleet owners and individual customers substantial cost benefits. As these vehicles address the dynamic needs of India's growing economy, they are open for bookings at all Tata Motors' Commercial Vehicle dealerships across the country.
