Suzuki has officially launched the 2017 GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R in India for INR 19 lakhs and INR 22 lakhs respectively. Prices mentioned here are ex-showroom Delhi. Both the bikes can now be booked in India from certain Suzuki dealers by paying a token amount of INR 2 lakh. Suzuki's GSX-R1000 was always considered an under-powered option of the mighty liter class super bikes. 2017 GSX-R1000 is now much more powerful than before while race spec GSX-R1000R brings premium equipment over the former variant. 2017-suzuki-gsx-r1000-02

It is powered by a new 999.8cc inline-4 engine with VVT (variable valve timing) technology, producing a mind blowing 202 PS @ 13,200 rpm and 117.6 Nm of torque @ 10,800 rpm.
