Market Dynamics and Consumer Preferences

The differing sales performances of Skoda and Volkswagen in February 2024 highlight the varied market dynamics and changing consumer preferences in India's automotive industry. Evolving consumer wants economic situations, and competition from both local and international brands all have a substantial impact on sales patterns.

Upcoming Facelifts and Launches

The lower sales could be attributed to buyers awaiting facelifts for the Slavia and Kushaq models, which will include feature updates like Level 2 ADAS and a 360-degree camera. This will enable the Slavia and Kushaq to compete effectively with rival sedans and compact SUVs. Additionally, Skoda is developing a new sub-4m SUV, and both Skoda and Volkswagen have plans to launch EVs in India.
