Customers of Ola Electric scooters can rejoice because the company has finally shared an important update on scooter deliveries. Ola’s CEO and co-founder, Bhavish Aggarwal, has finally confirmed the date when the EV startup is going to commence deliveries of the much-awaited S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters. Mr Aggarwal shared the update on Twitter that the brand is all set to begin deliveries on the 15th of December this year.

While speaking of the previously scheduled dates, the brand had announced that the first batch of scooters would be delivered from October 25 to November 25, but the company was unable to deliver the products and sent emails to the customers apologising and citing the delay in the process. After that, the company rescheduled the deliveries for December 15–December 30. Finally, after a four-month wait, both the S1 and S1 Pro scooters are ready to hit the roads.

Bhavish Aggarwal thanked the customers for their patience. Looking back to September, Ola Electric had opened the booking window for 2 days and customers booked the scooters by paying Rs 499 as a token amount. And later on November 20, Ola gave test rides to the customers who had already booked the scooters. Hence, the EV startup ended 20,000 test rides earlier this week, and now it intends to carry out 10,000 test rides a day across 1,000 cities by the end of this month.

The S1 and S1 Pro are priced at Rs 99,999 and Rs 1,29,999, respectively, and include features such as a TFT instrument display, disc brakes, 12-inch wheels, Bluetooth connectivity, a USB charging port, and ample under-seat storage. Both prices are ex-showroom Bengaluru and without state subsidies.
